Family scene / seen from within
After leaving my native city of Athens to start raising a family in the island of Milos, I started travelling in situ and turned my eyes and my lens to inward journeys and internal discoveries. The microcosm of the mundane and the familial combines with the sublime of nature and the miracle of love captured in the ephemeral movements and fleeting looks of my three young children, my husband and my friends. I choose to travel inside and this may well be my most treasured, my most challenging and rewarding artistic journey. It chose me, I accepted it and holding my camera in gratitude I am witnessing its simple truths and hereby share them. Simply, like setting the table for the children, I set these moments out like pebbles on the beaches of Milos. Each one unique and together composing my own mythical magical landscape in the is island of the Goddess of Love.
